Personal Structures – Confluences

From 9 May to 22 November 2026, Palazzo Bembo, Palazzo Mora, and the Marinaressa Gardens host the eighth edition of Personal Structures, the international contemporary art biennial organized by the European Cultural Centre Italy alongside the 61st Venice Art Biennale. Curated by an international team including Elisa Dallanoce, Sara Danieli, Rachele De Stefano, Lucia Pedrana, Claudia Piovan, Sara Serpilli, Micaela Skerl, Lucia Trevisan, and Elena Volpato, the exhibition brings together 175 artists, photographers, performers, and collectives from more than 40 countries.

The 2026 theme, Confluences, invites visitors to explore the meeting points between cultures, artistic practices, and creative languages, highlighting how diverse perspectives can generate new forms of expression within the global contemporary art landscape.

Exhibition highlights include a dialogue between Keith Haring and surrealist tattoo artist Kozo at Palazzo Mora, ORLAN’s new works exploring the relationship between painting and artificial intelligence, and the world premiere of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki at Palazzo Bembo. Monumental installations by Paresh Maity and Rashid Al Khalifa are presented at the Marinaressa Gardens.

The exhibition is accompanied by the ECC Awards 2026, celebrating innovative artistic research, interdisciplinary practices, and projects with strong social impact.
