Award-winning visual artist and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jewel makes her Venice Art Biennale debut with Matriclysm: An Archeology of Connections Lost, a large-scale installation presented at the Salone Verde and curated by Joe Thompson in collaboration with the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. The exhibition explores themes of motherhood, feminine identity, and humanity’s relationship with nature through paintings, sculptures, tapestries, sound works, and immersive installations created specifically for the project.

Highlights include Seven Sisters, an installation of hand-blown glass spheres accompanied by a soundtrack generated from astronomical data, and Heart of the Ocean, an interactive sculpture transforming real-time oceanographic information into an immersive audiovisual experience. The exhibition also features First Mother, a monumental sculpture created with Patrick Bongoy that reflects on motherhood and the shared origins of humanity.
