Fondazione Valmont presents Telemachus: The Quest for Self, the second chapter in a compelling trilogy of contemporary art exhibitions inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. Building on the epic voyage’s introduction, this installment turns its gaze toward Telemachus, delving into the intimate and layered relationship between father and son.
Central to the exhibition are two artistic duos whose works engage with the timeless bond between Telemachus and Ulysses, unfolding it as a meditation on identity, inheritance, and the complexities of familial connection. Through their creative dialogue, they explore how legacy shapes the self and how the search for personal truth spans generations
Featuring sculptures, immersive installations, and conceptual pieces, Telemachus: The Quest for Self weaves an intricate visual narrative where ancient myth meets contemporary reflection. Here, the mythic becomes a prism through which to examine our own journeys—toward understanding, belonging, and the self.
